Polymerization process to obtain elastomeric copolymers ornterpolymers based on ethylene for cold flow improver (CFI)nhaving a viscosimetric average molecular weight ranging betweenn600 and 16.000, comprisingn a) polymerization of monomers in suspension in thenpresence of an alpha-olephin liquid in the reactionnconditions, in the presence of an amount of solvent fromnabout 5 to 30% by volume of the reactor volume in the presencenof a polymerization catalyst able to give the X 2 and/ornX 4 parameters, lower or equal to 0.02, X 2 and X 4 representingnthe fraction of uninterrupted methylenic sequences of 2 andn4 methylenic groups between two successive methyl ornmethylene groups respectively in the polymeric chain, asncompared with the uninterrupted total sequences of methylenengroups determined by 13 C-NMR; b) forwarding of the reaction slurry into a flash pipe fornthe evaporation of the unreacted monomers and of minimumnquantities of solvent; c) separation of the polymeric part with the quantity ofnsolvent introduced into the reaction as solvent foot, innsolvent of the same type or different, so as to obtain thendesired polymer concentrations, and disactivation of thencatalyst by bubbling of wet air stream. |
