titleOfInvention Process for adhering two polymer materials using a plasma treatment
abstract The invention relates to a process for obtainingnan improved adhesion between two polymer materials, neach comprising at least one polymer, optionally thenpolymer material containing up to 80% by weight of onenor more additives, in which process the surface of atnleast one polymer material is subjected to a plasmantreatment using an electrical discharge, characterizednin that a) the two materials are subjected to thenplasma treatment, b) during the plasma treatment thentwo materials are in contact with each other and c) annelectrical field is passed through the two materials. n A 10-fold increase of the adhesion between the twonpolymer materials is realized by a plasma treatment innair at atmospheric pressure. n Also, the invention relates to a multilayerednobject comprising at least two polymer materials withnan improved adhesion. The polymer is chosen from thengroup consisting of polyolefines, polyesters, npolyetheresters, polyamides, polyetheramides, npolyetherurethanes, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrenencopolymers, cellophanes, polystyrenes, npolyvinylchlorides, vinylidene chloride polymers, nethylene vinyl acetate copolymers, polyurethanes, npolytetrafluorethylene and blends thereof.
