| abstract |
In a path audit control method, (1) a unit (andiscrete unit or common unit) within a switch holdsnbitmap information indicating whether each channelnidentifier is being used to establish a path; (2) ancentral controller sends the unit bitmap informationnindicating whether each channel identifier has been usednto establish a path; (3) the unit compares bitmapninformation which it itself is holding with bitmapninformation that has been sent from the centralncontroller; and (4) if the bitmap information held bynthe unit and the bitmap information that has been sentnfrom the central controller do not match, the centralncontroller and the unit cooperate to execute matchingnprocessing in such a manner that the compared items ofnbitmap information will be made to match. |
