abstract |
Methods and expression constructs are provided for thencloning of genes from fungal origin which encodenpolypeptides having xylanase activity and theirnoverexpression in a selected microbial host cell. Xylanasesnof fungal origin generally have lower pH optima and remainnstable over a broader pH range than do xylanases ofnbacterial origin. The present invention provides for thenhigh level production of fungal xylanases which are may benused in a variety of industrial applications requiringnxylanase activity at a low pH. |
