Disclosed is a method for preparing fluorinated emulsion polymers thatnreduces or eliminates the need for fluorinated surfactants comprising the stepsnof:n a) providing a reaction mixture comprising water, surfactant, monomernmixture comprising at least one fluorinated monomer, at least one non-fluorinatednmonomer having high water solubility, and optionally at least onennon-fluorinated monomer having low water solubility, macromolecular organicncompound having a hydrophobic cavity; and b) polymerizing said monomer mixture. |
