abstract Use of granules consisting of 95.0 to 99.8% by weight of a magnetic iron oxide with an iron content of 50 to 73% by weight and a brightness in the lightening L * of 40 to 79 CIELAB units and a color cast a * from -1.0 to 4.0 CIELAB units and a color cast b * from 0.0 to -7.0 CIELAB units and an average particle size from 30 to 250 µm and a residue of less than 2% by weight in the pourability test with a 1 mm sieve at 400 strokes and a binder in an amount of 0.2 to 5.0% by weight from the group of the compounds consisting of polysiloxanes, polyesters, monohydric or polyhydric polyalcohols, long-chain fatty acids and fatty acid esters with more than 10 carbon atoms, organometallic compounds, polyacrylates and polyvinyl alcohols for the production of toners, printing inks and inks.
