A process for preparing silica gel comprising the stepsnof immersing a base in silica sol, drying the impregnated base,nimmersing the dried impregnated base in a mixed solution of annalkali silicate and an alkali hydroxide, heating thenimpregnated base taken out of the mixed solution, and treatingnthe heated base with an acid. A sufficient amount of silicangel for use as a dehumidifying element can be produced throughna single series of treatments. |
