abstract The free edges of the tray walls (12,16,26) run so that together with soft tissue of the mouth of a patient they are able to form a sealing point. At least one impression material connecting component (30) connected to the tray interior is provided. A source for liquid hardenable impression material is connected to the impression material-connecting component. The tray ( has at least one vacuum connection component (32,34,36) connected to the tray interior, which is connected to a vacuum source. The vacuum source adjusts a pressure drop preferably in the range between 50 and 150 mbar.
