titleOfInvention | Analyte-fixation immunochromatographic device |
abstract | Described herein is a new immunochromatographic device for the detection ofnanalytes in a biological sample, comprising a chromatographic membranenprovided with a support, at one end of which is applied, possibly by an absorbentnpad in contact with the said membrane, a marked agent (antibody or conjugatednantigen) that is specific for the analyte. After seeding and hence fixing thenbiological sample in an intermediate area (i.e., between the two ends) of thenchromatographic membrane, the user sets an appropriate buffer ahead of thenmarked agent, which is then drawn along chromatographically up to the bandnwhere the sample is laid, with consequent conjugate-analyte immunologicalnreaction, which may be visually detected in the form of a coloured band. |
