A method of manufacturing a battery can-forming material,ncomprising the steps of spreading metal powder on a hot-rolled steel platen(hot coil) or applying said metal powder in the form of paste to a surfacenthereof; annealing and then rolling the hot-rolled steel plate having thenmetal powder applied to the surface thereof to form a metal layer consistingnof the metal powder on the surface thereof; cold-rolling the hot-rolled steelnplate and the metal layer; annealing the hot-rolled steel plate and the metalnlayer; and rolling the hot-roiled steel plate and the metal layer by a skin passnroller. Instead of forming the metal layer of the metal powder, the metalnpowder may be plated on the surface of the hot-rolled steel plate. |
