abstract According to the present invention, the production of anthermoplastic resin hollow molded article of high quality usingna molding machine having both a relatively simple structure andna relatively small size becomes possible by carrying out thenfollowing steps of:n providing a molding machine comprising a mold including a moldnhalf having a body and a slidable block; supplying a thermoplastic resin, which is in a molten state,ninto the mold which is in an unclosed state; pressing and spreading the thermoplastic resin to fill a cavitynwith the thermoplastic resin by mold clamping; injecting compressed gas into the thermoplastic resin in thencavity; moving the slidable block from a first position to a secondnposition; and opening the mold to take out the thermoplastic resin hollownmolded article.
