abstract |
A process for producing N-substituted pyridinecarboxamides or thiocarboxamides which comprises subjecting a metal compound of an optionally substituted pyridine to an addition reaction with a substituted isocyanate or thioisocyanate and then replacing the metal by a proton. It is applicable even to compounds having substituents susceptible to oxidation, and is hence industrially advantageous. |
