abstract | This invention provides a thermally processable imaging elementncomprising a support and a thermographic or photothermographic imaging layer,nsaid imaging layer comprising a sulfenimide compound represented by thenformula:n n wherein M represents the atoms necessary to form, with R 1 and R 2 ,na five or six-membered ring or a multiple ring system; w is 1 or 0, wherein whennw is 0, R 1 and R 2 are independently substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic,naromatic or heterocyclic groups, and when w is 1, R 1 and R 2 are independentlyncarbonyl or sulfonyl groups; R 3 is independently a substituted or unsubstitutednaliphatic, aromatic or heterocyclic group and x is 0 or 1. n In one embodiment the thermally processable imaging elementncomprises:n (a) photographic silver halide, and (b) an image-forming combination comprisingn (i) an organic silver salt oxidizing agent, with (ii) a reducing agent for the organic silver salt oxidizingnagent. |
