| abstract | The invention relates to a method for reducing the algae and nutrient content of a body of water (1), the special feature of this method being that quantities of water containing algae are taken from the body of water (1), quantities of water containing nutrients are taken from the body of water (1), a mixture of withdrawn amounts of water is irradiated such that the algae absorb at least some of the nutrients due to photosynthetic activation, the algae are at least partially separated from the water, and the nutrient and algae-reduced water is returned to the water (1). The invention further relates to a device for carrying out this method, which is characterized by a device (2, 3, 4) for removing amounts of water containing algae, a device (2, 3, 4) for removing amounts of water containing nutrients, and a device (5) for irradiation a mixture of the withdrawn water quantities, the algae absorbing at least some of the nutrients due to photosynthetic activation, a device (29) for at least partially separating the algae from the water, and a device for returning the nutrient and algae-reduced water back into the water (1 ). |
