Process for the production of chiral unsaturated alcohols in high optical purity |
abstract |
The catalytic asymmetric hydrogenation of enolnesters with a vinyllic or acetylenic substituentnproceeds with extremely high enantioselectivity using anRhodium-chiral bisphosphine catalyst. This is atnvariance with the hydrogenation of enol esters bearing ansaturated substituent, which are hydrogenated with onlynmarginal enantioselectivity under the same conditions. |
