titleOfInvention Arctium majus compositions
abstract The composition of the invention comprises from 10 to 25 % by weight of a hydro-glycolic extract of Arctium majus roots; from 1 to 5 % by weight of a complexing agent such as tetrasodium salt of tetraacetic diamine ethylen; from 50 to 70 % by weight of a thickener which may be a diethanolamide of coprah fatty acid; and from 5 to 10 % by weight of a solubilizing agent, for example a mixture of polyoxyethylenated alkylphenol and mono-laurate of polyoxyethylenated sorbitan. Optionally, it also contains from 10 to 15 % by weight of at least one perfuming agent. The composition of the invention may be used to produce a washing solution comprising from about 5 to about 10 % by weight of the composition according to anyone of the above claims; from about 20 to about 25 % by weight of an appropriate excipient such as cocamidopropyl betain; from about 1 to about 5 % by weight of a wetting agent such as stearamine oxide; and from about 0.1 to about 5 % by weight of a overgreasing agent for example a mixture of glycerides of capric and caprylic acids, the remainder being water. The washing solution of the invention may be used to produce an anti-pruriginous medicament.
