titleOfInvention Process for producing high crystalline propylene homopolymers
abstract Propylene (PP) homopolymers, satisfying one or more of the following conditions when fractionated by dissolving in boiling xylene, cooling to 25 degrees C at 10 degrees C/hr. and separating at increasing temperature into fractions with differing tactic arrangements (TREF process): (i) the proportion of polymer remaining undissolved on heating to 112 degrees C, ≥ 20 wt.%; (ii) the proportion undissolved at 117 degrees C ≥ 8 wt.%; or (iii) the proportion undissolved at 122 degrees C ≥ 1 wt.%. Also claimed are: (1) a process for production of homo-PP; (2) PP homopolymers obtained by this process; and (3) film, fibres and moulded products obtained from PP.
