abstract | Litter-tray for the collection and disposal of cat excreta comprising a box (1) and a removable net (3) of fine mesh smaller than the grain-size of the granules deposited in said box, said net being inserted into the tray (1) and within the said granules is buried a removable rigid grille (7) of mesh larger than the grain-size of the said granules. In the automatic version the litter-tray comprises a sensor (11) to detect the presence of a cat, said sensor being connected via a delay-timer to a programmer, a moving cover (14) for the hermetic sealing of the box, electric heating means (32), a thermostat, an electric pump (33) to spray strong jets of hot water through nozzles (40) on the base of the box, an electric fan (23) to circulate drying air. A semi-automatic version of the litter tray is also provided. |
