New agents are proposed for the finishing of textile and keratin fibers containing (a) Esters of polyvalent hydroxycarboxylic acids with adducts of ethylene oxide with fatty alcohols and (b) ester quats and optionally (c) fatty alcohols. n n n The agents give textiles and hair a pleasant soft feel and lower the electrostaticnCharging between the fibers. Another advantage is that the compositionsnhave a comparatively low content of nitrogen compounds.
