| abstract | A device (20, 20a, 20b, 20c, 20d) for consolidating compositions contained in partially filled dual chamber dispensing cartridges (42, 56) includes a body (22, 22a, 22c, 22d) having a pair of passages (24, 24a, 24c, 24d, 26, 26a, 26c, 26d), and first and second couplers (30, 30a, 30b, 30c, 30d, 32, 32a, 32b, 32c, 32d) for connecting the body (22, 22a, 22c, 22d) to first and second dual chamber dispensing cartridges (42, 56). Once the device (20, 20a, 20b, 20c, 20d) is connected to two cartridges (42, 56), an applicator is connected to one of the cartridges (42, 56) and is used to expel any remaining compositions in such cartridge to chambers of the other cartridge. The contents of several partially empty cartridges can be consolidated in this manner so that a subsequent dispensing operation need not be interrupted to replace cartridges. |
