titleOfInvention Thin-walled rubber articles
abstract A thin-walled, rubber article comprises (i) at least 76%wt. styrene-isoprene-styrene (SIS) triblock copolymer, (ii) styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) triblock copolymer and (iii) antiblocking agent in such amount that unpowdered rubber articles pressed together and aged at 70[deg]C for 7 days (ASTM D573-88) may be pulled apart. Also claimed is (I) a solution for the manufacture of a rubber article comprising the claimed composition; and (II) a method for the manufacture of gloves comprising dipping a mould in a claimed solution and air-drying the obtained coated mould. Pref. copolymer (i) contains 10-30%wt. (20-40%wt.) styrene and has a solution viscosity of 0.5-5 (0.5-30) Pa.s in a 25%wt. solution in toluene at 25[deg]C. Amount of (i) is at least 80% (80-90%). Composition opt. further comprises upto 3.0%wt. slip agents, upto 0.5%wt. antioxidants and upto 5.0%wt. (3-5%wt.) antiblocking agents. Antiblocking agent is polyethylene wax.
