titleOfInvention | Catalytic activator complexes for peroxygen compounds |
abstract | In oxidizing, washing, cleaning or disinfecting solutions, there are used as activators for peroxygen compounds transition metal (III) complexes of formula (I) in which: UM is manganese, iron, cobalt, ruthenium or molybdenum; R stands for an alkylene, alkenylene, phenylene or cycloalkylene group which can optionally be substituted with alkyl and/or aryl, with a total of between 1 and 12 carbon atoms, inside R the shortest distance between the nitrogen atoms complexing with UM being between 1 and 5 carbon atoms; X stands for -H, -OR<3>, -NO2, -F, -Cl, -Br or -J; R<1>, R<2> and R<3>, independently of one another, stand for hydrogen or an alkyl group with between 1 and 4 carbon atoms; Y<1> and Y<2>, independently of one another, stand for hydrogen or an electron-displacing substituent, Y<1> and Y<2> not simultaneously being hydrogen when R is alkylene or cyclohexylene; Z<1> and Z<2>, independently of each another, stand for hydrogen, -CO2M, -SO3M or -NO2; M stands for hydrogen or an alkali metal; and A stands for a charge-compensating anion ligand, Z<1> and Z<2> not being hydrogen when Y<1> and/or Y<2> is/are an alkyl group, and Z<1> and Z<2> not being -SO3M when Y<1> and/or Y<2> is/are an alkyl or alkoxy group with between 1 and 4 carbon atoms, -NO2 or a halogen. The washing and cleaning agents preferably contain between 0.0025 wt. % and 0.25 wt. % of these activator complexes. |
