abstract | An object is to provide a thermoplastic resinnmolded article concurrently having excellent heatninsulating properties, rigidity, and lightness, and tonprovide a method for producing the same. A moldednarticle made from a thermoplastic molding materialncomprises: a multilayer structure portion having ansurface layer composed of a non-foamed type of saidnmolding material and an internal layer composed of anfoamed type of said molding material; and a portionncomposed of only a non-foamed type of said moldingnmaterial. The molded article is produced by injectingnand filling an expandable thermoplastic molding materialnwhich is melted in the heating cylinder that is adjustednto have the temperature of its tip part higher than thatnof its rear part, into a cavity having a 10 to 95%nvolume of the volume of the molded article, conducting anfirst cooling until the molding material becomes thencondition that the surface layer contacted with thenmetal mold is solidified but the internal layer isnmelted, enlarging the volume of the cavity to the volumenof the molded article to foam at least a part of theninternal layer, and conducting a second cooling to takenout the molded article. |
