titleOfInvention | Thermal recording material |
abstract | A thermal recording material comprises a supportncoated with a colour developing layer, which colourndeveloping layer comprisesn (i) a developer which is a bisthiourea compound, nfor example of formula (A-2):n nand (ii) a colourless dye precursor with which thendeveloper reacts upon heating to form a colour. Typicallynthe thermal colour developing layer contains no sensitizer.nIn the thermal recording materials of the presentninvention, substantially no colour is developed at antemperature of 120 o C while colour development can be causednin response to heating with a thermal head or a laser beam.nThe developed colour on the material can be erased uponncontacting with alcoholic solvents, depending on thenthiourea compound contained in the colour developing layer.nAfter erasure of the image, the material, can be used againnfor recording with a thermal head or a laser beam. |
