abstract This invention relates to an animal feed compositionnand method of compounding animal feed utilizing a reactive gradenof magnesium oxide as a processing aid, either alone or inncombination with sulfonated lignin. The components are blendednin proportions such that production efficiency and pelletndurability can be increased simultaneously. One specificnembodiment of the processing aid comprises a mixture of 10%nmagnesium oxide and 90% lignosulfonate. The pelleting aid isnincorporated with the animal feed in an amount of from about 0.05nto about 5% on a dry weight basis.
