abstract |
The invention relates to the exogenous use of betaine to improve the yield of tobacco plants. According to the invention, betaine is used to improve the yield especially under stress conditions. The invention also relates to tobacco plants treated exogenously with betaine, to leaves and other parts of such tobacco plants, and to products containing these leaves and other parts. |
