(1) A composition for packaging of an aqueous liquid food, comprising a hydrophilic reducing organic compound or a combination of the organic compound with a porous inorganic material dispersed in a hydrophobic thermoplastic resin through a hydrophilic and water-insoluble thermoplastic resin. (2) A laminate for packaging of the above food, wherein the above composition is used as the innermost layer or a layer adjacent thereto. (3) A laminate for packaging of the above food, wherein a hydrophobic thermoplastic resin layer having a porous inorganic material carrying an ascorbic acid compound dispersed therein is used as the innermost layer or a layer adjacent thereto. The above composition, when used for packaging of an aqueous liquid food, such as fruit juice or milk, can prevent deterioration of the food caused by oxygen from the exterior and interior thereof and enables the contents to be safely stored for a long period of time. |
