titleOfInvention Catalyst on the basis of a Zr, Ti or Hf complex and process for hydrogenation of olefins or polymer
abstract The present invention relates to a catalystncomposition which comprises at least:n a) a metal compound cation of the formula [(A)(B)ML + ]nwherein M represents titanium, zirconium, or hafnium, nwherein A and B represent ligands with structure Inor IIn nin which R 1 independently represents the same orndifferent hydrocarbyl groups optionally containingnheteroatoms, and R 3 independently represents the same orndifferent hydrocarbyl groups optionally containingnheteroatoms, or a halide, and in which R substituentsnmay be shared between A and B to provide a bridge, nwherein m is an integer from 0-5, p is an integer fromn0-4, and q is an integer from 0-3, wherein L representsnhydrogen or hydrocarbyl group optionally containingnheteroatoms, with the proviso that if A and B are bothnligands with structure I or II, at least one of m, p ornq is at least 1, and b) a non-coordinating stablenanion. The present invention further relates to anprocess for the preparation of a catalyst compositionnand to a process for the catalytic hydrogenation ofnolefins, oligomers, polymers or copolymers.
