abstract |
An organic electroluminescent device that comprises a substrate (203), a transparent firstnconductive layer (201) next to the substrate, an electron-transporting and light-emitting layern(209), a hole-transporting layer (205) sandwiched between the first conductive layer and thenelectron-transporting and light-emitting layer, and a second conductive layer (211) next to thenelectron-transporting and light-emitting layer and remote from the hole-transporting layer. Thenhole-transporting layer comprises a poly(arylamine) including at least one compound of one ornmore compounds of from about 5 to about 1000 of monomer. The monomers useful in thenpreparation of the poly(arylamines) comprise two amino moieties in which each amino moietynis bound to three aryl moieties in which two halo moieties are optionally bound to thenmonomer. |
