Titanium dioxide treated with polymeric hindered amine stabilisers |
abstract |
A pigmentary material comprises particulate titanium dioxide thenparticles of which have been treated with a polymeric hindered aminenstabiliser. The stabiliser is a polymer having a main chain substantially free ofnacidic groups and having hindered amine stabilising groups. The stabilisingngroups comprise at least 35 per cent by weight of the polymer. Preferably, thentitanium dioxide particles are also treated with an organic compound such asna polyhydric alcohol, an alkanolamine, a polysiloxane or a fatty acid. |
