titleOfInvention Input circuit
abstract According to the present invention, an input circuit isnprovided comprising: an input terminal (1); a first power sourcenterminal (VDD); a second power source terminal ground; a first bipolarntransistor (3); a second bipolar transistor (6); a first electricncurrent cut off member (7); a second electric current cut off member (9);na voltage clamping member (8); and a buffer (4,5). As a result, even whennan electric potential greater than that of the power sourcenvoltage is applied to the input terminal, regardless of the supplynor interruption of the power source voltage, destruction of theninternal components is prevented and a steady-state electricncurrent of the power source voltage and/or the input terminalnis cut off. Hence, by providing a PMOS transistor (7) and NMOSntransistor (9), which serve to cut off the electric current routesnof power source terminal VDD and the ground terminal, in the twonbipolar transistors (3,6) connecting to input terminal 1 to which anninput signal greater than the power source voltage is applied, nit is possible to cut off the electric current flowing from thenpower source terminal to the input and ground terminals whilenalso preventing the destruction of the components relating tonthe increased signal.
