A thermal transfer recording medium providingnclear printed images with a metallic luster withoutncausing blocking is disclosed which comprises anfoundation, and provided on one side of the foundation innorder from the foundation side, at least a colored ornuncolored ink layer, a metal deposition layer and annadhesive layer, and a heat-resistant layer providednintermediate between the metal deposition layer and thenadhesive layer and comprising as a main component a resinnhaving a glass transition temperature of not lower thann65°C and a melt viscosity of not higher than 1 × 10 3 cpsnat 160°C. |
