A multilayer, preferably biaxially oriented, filmnsuitable for processing and/or packaging cook-in foods such asnham, roast beef and poultry having an excellent combination ofnoxygen barrier, heat seal and optical properties comprising atnleast five essential sequential layers with a first layer of ancopolymer of propene and at least one C 2 -C 8 α-olefin having anpropene content of at least 60 wt. % and preferably having anmelting point <140°C; a second layer of (1)a first copolymernof ethylene and at least one C 4 -C 8 α-olefin (0.900 to 0.915ng/cm 3 ρ), and <1.0 dg/min. M.I.), (2) a second copolymer ofnethylene with from 4 to 18%, preferably 4 to 12%, of a vinylnester or alkyl acrylate, (3) an anhydride-modified thirdncopolymer of ethylene with at least one α-olefin, a vinylnester or an alkyl acrylate, and (4)optionally a fourthncopolymer of ethylene and at least one C 3 -C 8 α-olefin (<0.900ng/cm 3 ρ; and <85°C m.p.); a third EVOH layer; a fourth layernlike the second layer; and a fifth layer of a first copolymernof ethylene with at least one C 4 -C 8 α-olefin (0.900 to 0.915ng/cm 3 ρ, and <1.0 dg/min.
