titleOfInvention | Immunomodulating composition for use especially in the treatment of hiv infections |
abstract | Immunomodulating composition containing active ingredients derived from a plant extract and characterized in that said plant extract is obtainable by the following method: a) the leaves of a plant of the Buxacea family are removed by means of a water/organic solvent mixture, the solvents are then eliminated to obtain a solid raw extract: b) the raw extract is again suspended in a hydroalcoholic mixture and then fed into a macroporous non-ionic resin column, which is eluted by a hydroalcoholic mixture to recover an essentially sugar-free extract; c) the solvents of the extract obtained at the end of b) are eliminated and the residue is again dissolved in water; d) the aqueous solution obtained at the end of c) is fed into a light acid cation exchange resin column, which is eluted by means of water; e) the solvents are eliminated by the eluate obtained at the end of d) and the solid residue is again dissolved in the aqueous solution at an acid pH; f) the aqueous solution is fed into a strong acid cation exchange resin column, which is eluted by means of water to recover an essentially alkaloid-free plant extract. |
