The invention refers to a photopolymerizable precursor of a thermosettable adhesive, said precursor exhibiting an improved coatability and comprisingn (A) from about 30 to 65% by weight of a photopolymerizable, optionally partly prepolymerized mixture comprising at least one acrylic acid ester of a non-tertiary alcohol, and at least one reinforcing, copolymerizable monomer; (B) from about 10-65% by weight of one or more epoxy resins containing no photopolymerizable groups; (C) from about 0.2-15% by weight of one or more polymers at least one of them comprising units of formula (I)n n wherein R is R 1 -CO- or R 2 , R 1 and R 2 are independently from each other linear or branched alkyl groups with 1-5 C atoms wherein one or two non-adjacent CH 2 -groups may be replaced independently from each other by -O-, -CHhalogen-, n-C(halogen) 2 - or -CO- with the proviso that two O-atoms are not directly linked, nand R 3 , R 4 and R 5 are independently from each other H, halogen or have the meaning indicated for R 1 and R 2 , (D) from about 0.1% to about 10% by weight of a heat-activatable hardener for the epoxy-resin; and (E) from about 0.005 to about 3% of a photoinitiator. |
