titleOfInvention Screening model
abstract A screening-model is disclosed for determining the inhibiting effect of substances on the P-type ATP-ase activity of Helicobacter. The screening model in question comprises: (a) a recombinant organism consisting of host cells transformed with at least one P-type ATP-ase gene which can be controlled via a promoter; (b) an inductor for gene activation of the P-type ATP-ase; (c) cations which inhibit the metabolic activity of the recombinant organism only in the presence of Helicobacter P-type ATP-ase; and (d) a measurement device for determining the metabolic activity of the recombinant organism.
