abstract | This invention pertains to methods and compositions for treating the root system of seedlings and young plants. Examples of the plants to be treated includes forestry species, which are exemplified by members of the Conifer and Eucalyptus families; horticultural species, such as tomatoes and asparagus; and other important agricultural crops, such as tobacco and berries. Such treatment enhances plant resistance to pests and survival to adverse environmental conditions. The results include significant overall improvements in growth and yield of said forestry, horticultural, and other crops. |
