abstract |
At least two substantially purified tumornnecrosis factor (TNF) inhibitors are disclosed which arenglycoproteins that are active against TNF. The isolationnof 30kDa and 40KDa TNF inhibitors from urine isndisclosed. The deglycosylated form of the 30kDa TNFninhibitor and 40kDa TNF inhibitor are described as beingnactive against TNF. The 40kDa TNF inhibitor is activenagainst both TNF alpha and TNF beta. The amino acidnsequence of the 30kDa TNF inhibitor and the 40kDa TNFninhibitor are disclosed. Methods for isolating the TNFninhibitors from human U937 cell mediumnare also described. |
