An oriented polyester film (A') which comprises modifiednpolyethylene-2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylate containing anglycol component derived from a compound represented by thenfollowing formula,n n wherein each of n and m is independently anpositive number of 1 to 9 as an average,nprovided that m + n equals 2 to 9 as annaverage. nand having a heat of crystallization of 6 to 20nJoule/g, and (B) which is biaxially oriented. nThese films are useful as a base film for a magneticnrecording tape or as an electric insulation film. |
