abstract A multilayer, substantially non-stretched transparent polyester sheet comprising:n a base layer comprising a thermoplastic polyester resin (A) having a glass transition temperature of not less than 80°C, and, laminated on at least one side thereof, a sealing layer comprising a thermoplastic polyester resin (B) having a glass transition temperature at least 5°C lower than that of the base layer, wherein:n (1) said thermoplastic polyester resin (A) contains 7 to 100 mol% of naphthalenedicarboxylic acid as a dicarboxylic acid moiety the diol moiety principally comprises ethylene glycol; (2) said thermoplastic polyester resin (B) contains 4 to 90 mol% of naphthalenedicarboxylic acid as a dicarboxylic acid moiety and the diol moiety principally comprises at least one of ethylene glycol, cyclohexane dimethanol, diethylene glycol and 1,4-butanediol; (3) the haze of the whole multilayer polyester sheet is not more than 10%; and (4) the total thickness of the sealing layer is 1 to 30% of the thickness of the base layer.
