Transfer sheet for sublimation heat-transfer printing and process for production thereof |
abstract |
A transfer sheet for sublimation heat-transfer printing comprising a base and, formed thereon, a dye receiving layer comprising a coating material composition comprising 70-95 wt.% of a resin mixture composed of 50-90 wt.% of a saturated polyester resin having an acid value of 1.0-20 mgKOH/g and 50-10 wt.% of a styrene/acrylic copolymer resin, 0.5-12 wt.% of the product of curing between at least two reaction-curing silicone oils having functional groups capable of reacting with each other, and a white colorant. The production process comprises charging part or the whole of the surface of a photoreceptor with a charger according to electrophotography while rotating the same, depositing on the charged surfaces a white powder coating material composition that has been charged with the polarity reverse to that of the photoreceptor, transferring the coating material composition onto a base sheet, and forming a dye receiving layer on the sheet by heat melting, cooling and fixing the transferred composition. |
