abstract | A curable organopolysiloxane composition thatnmaintains flowability under moisture-free and lightnblocking conditions is described. It more rapidlynforms a nonflowable adhesive when irradiated with highnenergy beams such as ultraviolet rays and electronnbeams, and forms an elastic body by further curing whennexposed to atmospheric moisture. A method for adheringna substrate to an adherend using the composition isnalso claimed. The curable organosiloxane compositionnhas a viscosity of 3,000 Pa.s or less and is made up ofna silicone resin containing no alkenyl groups, anpolydiorganosiloxane having terminal units containing anmercapto group, an alkenyl-containingnorganopolysiloxane, and a condensation catalyst. Annassembly which has a substrate adhered to an adherendnis made by spreading the composition on the substrate,nirradiating it with a high energy beam, contacting thenirradiated surface with an adherend, and letting itnstand in air, so that the substrate is adhered to thenadherend. |
