The isoxazole derivative having the following general formula: <CHEM> Äwherein R<1> represents a hydrogen atom; halogen atom; alkyl group; alkoxy group; hydroxyl group; alkylthio group; amino group; alkanoyl group; alkanoylamino group; alkanoyloxy group; alkoxycarbonyl group; carboxy group; (alkylthio)thiocarbonyl group; carbamoyl group; nitro group; or cyano group; R<2> represents an amino group; m represents an integer of from 1 to 3; n represents an integer of from 1 to 6; ring A represents a phenyl ring, a naphthyl ring or an aromatic heterocycle; X represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atomÜ has an excellent monoamine oxidase inhibitory activity, and is useful as a therapeutic agent or a preventive agent against neuropathies (Parkinson's disease) and the like. |
