abstract The invention relates to the production, processing and use of thermally stable thermoplastics, in particular of molding compositions based on imidated polymethyl methacrylate. It describes molding compounds which, after being processed into shaped articles, e.g. Lamp covers, show only a slight increase in the yellow value under thermal stress. Decolorants based on inorganic phosphorus compounds with a reducing action are used which are used at a late processing time, e.g. only be added when compounding.
