abstract The invention relates to a mechanical device intended for actuating a receiving piston (6), according to a kinematic law which is determined by the path imposed on the axis (3), equipping the main connecting rod (2).n n n The device comprises a control member (1), eccentric or crankshaft, communicating the movement to the axis (3), with the help of the master rod (2).n n n The axis (3) slides, by its ends, in the grooves (4) machined in two fixed guides, which determine its trajectory.n n n A secondary connecting rod (5), mounted on the axis (3), transmits the movement to the piston (6).n n n In a preferred version of the invention, the grooves (4) are advantageously replaced by two connecting rods, mounted in parallel on the ends of the axis (3), and oscillating on a fixed axis, common to both.n n n The invention is particularly intended for actuating a piston distribution system for an internal combustion engine.
