abstract A flame-retardant polyolefinic resin composition which does not generate any harmful gas when burnt or incinerated after use, is freed from special expenditure on the disposal of residual ash, and has both excellent flame retardance and excellent mechanical strengths. This composition can be prepared by blending 100 pts. by wt. of a polyolefinic resin with 2 to 60 pts. by wt. of melamine cyanurate surface-treated with powdered silica and 1 to 30 pts. by wt. of a phosphoric ester.
