Plastic additives (I), obtained by cooling a mixture of (a) 99.9-10 wt% additive material in the molten state and (b) 0.1-90 wt% additive material in the crystalline state in a moulding process. Preferably, mixtures (I) contain 99.5-25 (preferably 90-30, especially preferred 70-50) wt% (a) and 0.5-75 (preferably 10-70, especially preferred 30-50) wt% (b). Suitable additives comprise UV stabilisers, antioxidants, thermal stabilisers, lubricants, antistatics, coupling agents, compatibilisers, dispersants, acid interceptors, metal deactivators, peroxide decomposing agents, processing stabilisers, nucleating agents, optical brighteners, slip additives, anti-dew additives and fire retardants. |
