abstract The invention relates to a surgical suturing device, especially for endoscopic surgery. The suturing device consists of a drive and locking mechanism operated from a handle from which goes a shaft (1) with drive devices and on the end of which is fitted a suturing head. The suturing head consists of two jaw components (2, 3) between which a needle (10) with a central eye can be moved. The entire suturing process is controlled via only one handle.
