abstract The invention relates to a high temperature resistant coating intended to be interposed between tools and hot glass plates. It comprises a knitted fabric made of an assembly of columns of stitches giving at least one flat face, the knitted fabric being provided with days (C) whose polygonal shape is determined by a plurality of “unbound” segments (s 3 , s 4 , s 5 , s 6 ) each consisting of a portion of a column of meshes and of “linked” segments (s 1 , s 2 ) constituted by the pooling of more than 4 meshes (m) between two columns (A , B) of adjacent cells, pooling obtained by reciprocal transfer of cells (m) from one column to another.
