abstract a) Melamin (Komponente a) b) 1,4 bis 2,0 mol Formaldehyd pro Mol Melamin (Komponente b) c) 0,5 bis 20 Gew.-%, bezogen auf die Gesamtmenge der Komponenten (a) und (b) eines Adduktes (c) ausn c1) einem Alkalisulfit, Alkalyhydrogensulfit oder Alkalidisulfit nund c2) pro Mol Schwefel in der Komponente (C1) 1 bis 100 mol eines C 2 - bis C 4 -Oxirans, nwobei die bei der Bildung des Adduktes (c) entstehende Hydroxylgruppe mit einem C 1 - bis C 20 -Alkyl-, einem C 5 - bis C 20 -Cycloalkyl-, einem C 6 - bis C 15 -Aryl oder einem C 7 - bis C 20 -Aralkylrest verethert sein kann und d) 0 bis 0,5 mol einer weiteren Verbindung (Komponente d), die fähig ist, mit Formaldehyd in einer Polykondensations- oder Polyadditionsreaktion zu reagieren, pro Mol Melamin. Elasticized melamine resins a) melamine (component a) b) 1.4 to 2.0 mol of formaldehyde per mol of melamine (component b) c) 0.5 to 20% by weight, based on the total amount of components (a) and (b) of an adduct (c) c1) an alkali sulfite, alkali hydrogen sulfite or alkali disulfite and c2) 1 to 100 mol of a C 2 - to C 4 -oxirane per mole of sulfur in component (C1), wherein the hydroxyl group formed in the formation of the adduct (c) with a C 1 to C 20 alkyl, a C 5 to C 20 cycloalkyl, a C 6 to C 15 aryl or a C 7 to C 20 aralkyl may be etherified and d) 0 to 0.5 mol of a further compound (component d) which is capable of reacting with formaldehyde in a polycondensation or polyaddition reaction, per mol of melamine.
